Health Data Policy

Effective Date: October 5, 2026Last Updated: October 10, 2026

This policy explains how NCWB LTD (company number 16587059, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom) handles your health information in the Food Cheater app. It applies to everyone who uses Food Cheater. It is also our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy under the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada law. It adds to our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else.

In short: we store your health information only to run the App and back it up for you. We never sell it, never send it to advertisers, and you can delete all of it in the App at any time. What you use the AI features with is read by Google's AI for us, and not used to train it.

1. The Health Information We Collect

  • Body details: date of birth, sex, height, weight, goal weight, goal type and weight-loss pace, activity level and diet preference.
  • Targets worked out from them: daily calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat, fibre, sugar and sodium.
  • Your logs: food and drink, water, weight entries, fasting sessions, activities you add, cravings, saved meals, and Cheat Bank and Damage Control records.
  • From Apple Health, if you connect it: daily steps and walking and running distance. We store each day's step count and the calories it adds.
  • From the AI features, when you use them: photos of your meals and of menus, the words of your voice logs (not the recording), and the cravings you search, with your calorie target, diet preference and your country. We do not keep them.

We do not collect your location, and we do not collect information about medical conditions, medicines, pregnancy or reproductive health.

2. Where It Comes From

  • From you, when you answer the sign-up questions and log in the App.
  • From Apple Health on your iPhone, only if you turn it on and allow it.
  • From you, through the AI features, when you use one.

3. Why We Use It

  • To work out your calorie and nutrient targets and show your progress.
  • To back up your information and bring it back when you sign in on a new phone.
  • To show your weekly summaries, streaks and reminders.
  • To read your meal photos, menus, voice logs and cravings when you ask the App to.

We do not use it for advertising, to build marketing profiles, or for anything you have not asked the App to do.

4. Who Receives It

We never sell your health information, and we never share it with advertisers, data brokers or social media companies. Only these companies handle it, as our processors, under contract and only to run the App:

CompanySupabase Pte. Ltd.
WhyStores your account and backup
WhereData stored in Ireland (EU); company in Singapore
CompanyGoogle LLC (Gemini API)
WhyRecognises food in what you use the AI features with. Does not use it to train its AI, and keeps it for up to 55 days only to detect misuse

Our anonymous usage statistics (PostHog, see our Privacy Policy) never include your health information: no food, drink, weight, body details or step counts. We have no affiliates that receive your health information. We would disclose it to authorities only where the law requires.

5. Your Consent

We store your health information only after you tick the consent box when you create your account. Apple Health also asks your permission before we can read your steps. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account in the App (Settings › About › Delete account); this deletes your health information from our systems. You can turn off Apple Health access separately in iPhone Settings › Health.

Your consent at sign-up includes the AI features. You can turn them off at any time in the App's Settings, or by emailing team@foodcheaterapp.com; the rest of your information stays in your account.

6. Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can:

  • See the health information we hold about you, and the list of companies that received it.
  • Delete it, in the App or by email.
  • Withdraw your consent, as described in section 5.
  • Confirm whether we have sold or shared it. We have not.

To make a request, email team@foodcheaterapp.com from the address linked to your account, or use the in-App deletion. We reply within 45 days (one month in the UK) and may need to confirm it is you.

Appeals: if we refuse a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer or by emailing team@foodcheaterapp.com with "Appeal" in the subject. We answer appeals within 45 days.
